Room was white washed gallery space with a real grass floor covering, the centre piece being the mindapples tree.

Visitors fill out their 5 mindapples and hang it on the tree.

Free cocktails provided by Courvoisier in Martini glasses with a tie clip give-away attached to the glass.

Interactive pink wall as you walk in and out of the room to provide a massage, simple hand shake or a hung.

The usability is outstanding this is mainly down to the clean and clear approach both Apple and Apple’s App Developers have had to building the iPhone’s UI or User Interface to those that still struggle a bit with engineers abreviations (I include myself in this group).

Anyway I’ll get around to posting about the UI and abreviations another time but for now I wanted to share with you the apps I’ve downloaded thus far. Here goes.

I was very pleased to see this in my inbox this morning, hopefully this will help to phase out more out dated clunky browsers.

“Dear Google Apps admin,

In order to continue to improve our products and deliver more sophisticated features and performance, we are harnessing some of the latest improvements in web browser technology. This includes faster JavaScript processing and new standards like HTML5. As a result, over the course of 2010, we will be phasing out support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 ​as well as other older browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers.

We plan to begin phasing out support of these older browsers on the Google Docs suite and the Google Sites editor on March 1, 2010. After that point, certain functionality within these applications may have higher latency and may not work correctly in these older browsers. Later in 2010, we will start to phase out support for these browsers for Google Mail and Google Calendar.

Google Apps will continue to support Internet Explorer 7.0 and above, Firefox 3.0 and above, Google Chrome 4.0 and above, and Safari 3.0 and above.

Starting this week, users on these older browsers will see a message in Google Docs and the Google Sites editor explaining this change and asking them to upgrade their browser. We will also alert you again closer to March 1 to remind you of this change.

In 2009, the Google Apps team delivered more than 100 improvements to enhance your product experience. We are aiming to beat that in 2010 and continue to deliver the best and most innovative collaboration products for businesses.

Please help spread the word to ban the use of IE and recommend the use of web standards compliant browsers the likes of

1. Firefox
2. Chrome
3. Safari

I use all of these across both PC and Mac they are in order of my preference, but I have to say I only use Firefox more because of it’s advanced features it has available, through the huge add-ons library.

But for those that want simplicity I would definately recommend Googles Chrome. Make sure you have a copy of Firefox just incase you come across an old school website that is quirky and wont display properly in chrome I have found a couple. But honestly  if you can’t view a page in either of these it’s not worth looking at anyway.

Please ditch IE today your thank me once you make the step.

The day has finally arrived and my new iPhone 3gs is in my hands. And it feels great! Everything I had expected and a whole load more. For the Social Networkers it is a dream come true, the thing I have done is load up the following Apps after setting up my email but before downloading my music from iTunes:

The iPhone is an incredible smart phone and extremely intuitive and easy to set up, even my wife has managed to set hers up herself with surprisingly few questions. I’m very impressed and so far it’s lived up to my expectations.

That’s it for now back to playing with my new toy.

The revolutionary new Apple ipad has arrived, (well in the US anyway) it may have been the worst kept secret on the Internet yet but when something appears to be this great it’s no real surprise that bits got leaked. But I still managed to get the name wrong,just 4 days ago I tweeted about the prospective name of this new Apple product.

So it’s the ipad that certainly makes much more sense than iNetbook that’s for sure! However iNetbook describes exactly the positioning of this new Mac product. Have just finished watching the Key Note Launch of the ipad held in Paris today, presented by Steve Jobs and co. And I have to say I definitely have the same feeling I did when they show cased my Aluminium Macbook and the new iPhone 3Gs (which I’m picking up on Saturday, yes that long wait has almost killed me).

Media coverage

Well so far the only traditional media coverage I’ve been subjected to is on BBC Radio 1 “Newsbeat” “news report”, it almost seems criminal to call it a report! The managed to do their usual trick of finding the dumbest and chaviest people in London to interview and boy do they talk some sh1t.

For goodness sake Radio1 you really need to learn how to give a balance true reflection of the “average” person. I was not in London today so was not able to take a trip down to the Apple’s store on Oxford street in fact not even sure it’s there yet as it was only the US launch today, but I can guarantee that when it does arrive there will be a que round the block of people waiting to play with one and an even bigger que of people at the tills.

As mentioned I’m way behind things as I’m just getting my iPhone now as they have only just released it on the Vodafone network my UK network of choice so I still have not had the full pleasure of experiencing the remarkable pleasure of using the ultra slick touch screen apart from every time I come within 3 feet of a friends that I grab out their hands and start playing with. But I’m pretty sure I’ll be not too far down the que on Regents street to add the iPad to my collection of Apple gadgets.

You could say I just can’t get enough Apple’s in my diet!

Basically life has always gotten in the way, work, sports, hobbies, learning all these things have kept me extremely busy and not being the most literate of self confessed geeks, I’ve always floundered at the first hurdle of putting pen to paper (well tapping of the keys).

Finally getting my iPhone :-)

However at last I feel my life and technology has finally come to a equilibrium as now sitting on the verge of adding the superb iPhone 3Gs to my list of gadgets (now that Vodafone have finally got the rights to sell it on their network), I now feel ready to be able to properly maintain my own personal website on the World Wide Web.
